What the hell is wrong with Cyberlink tech support!

I have repeatedly asked Tech support and customer services to answer a very simple question:

They have said DTS-HD MA is not support despite the website and the splash screen suggesting otherwise.

5.1 DTS-HD MA tracks output from rear speakers in a 7.1 setup/

I want to know why this happens, and if I am not hearing DTS-HD MA what am I hearing.

8 support tickets, I have raised asking the same question and each time they answer with information that has no relevance.

These people are THE worst tech support people I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Furthermore I will continue to post on this and every other AV forum to ensure people considering buying this product that it should be avoided at all costs.

For me personally, if TMT3 is good I will ditching this shoddy product, and amatuer support team and further more willl be demanding a refund if they cannot confirm for me that they are not infact not lying about the product features and that the customer and tech support teams just don't have a bloody clue.

Dear Robinson,

Could you provide your question ID?
I can forward your question to tech support.

Daisuke,

The 2 questions are:

CS000628244

Why do I hear discrete audio through the rear speakers of my 7.1 sound system when listening to a 5.1 DTS-HD MA soundtrack? I have my audio config as 8 Speakers - No Effect so would not expect rear audio as with other 5.1 tracks.

CS000629735

Tech Support and Customer services have both said DTS-HD MA is not supported in PDVD8. My concern is that the website specifically says it does and the DTS-HD MA logo appears on the splash screen.

I would like to know, apart from the downsampling, what is happening to the audio if I am, as support has indicated, not hearing DTS-HD MA.

Thanks

Yes it is horrible! After a major hard drive crash I went to reinstall PowerDVD 8.
Every time Activation fails. When I ask for help from tech Support I have gotten the exact same 'canned" message 3 times now. If I get it one more time, I will give up on PowerDVD.

CyberLink needs to remember something I was taught when I was a salesman years ago,"If you make a customer happy you have made a customer for life. If you make a customer mad they will tell everyone they know or meet their displeasure and you will loose 100 customers."

I gave up with CyberLink. No more products from them.
