PD 7 v 2519 - Green 'Tick' for images used being 'forgotten'

Possibly was a problem before; but noticed that when images included in the timeline the green tick appears; save and close and reload; all the green ticks are gone.

Put images in the timeline in a slideshow; green ticks for those images only re-appear!
Those on the timeline but not in a slideshow are still 'forgotten'
If you expand the slideshow again; green ticks disappear again!

Not a major problem but makes it slightly difficult when have selected images from a large batch and then stop half way through then try to pick it up again later.

Hi Ed,

Doesn't seem to happen with my 2519 version. I seem to think I saw a post about this a while ago but I can't locate it.

EDIT
Sorry, didn't read the title fully ignore this bit.

What version are you on?

Cheers
Adrian

I don't remember the version of 7, but some of my ticks also disappeared.
And I always lost ticks after I used images in a slideshow.
Will get back to you.

Manipulate the image in the timeline - alter the dimensions to 16:9 and see what happens.

Just tested 2227c.
I no longer lose the ticks vis-a-vis slideshow.
As soon as I have a CRASH!, I will see if some ticks are forgotten.
This was an issue on an earlier build

I believe it still is a problem in this 2519 release. Try the following
1) 16:9 project
2) drag cherry, flower, lily to the time line
3) set image mode to crop and apply to all pics
4) create a motion slide show with the 3 pics
5) green ticks are gone

Do the same as above but don't change image mode to crop to 16:9 and the tick marks remain.

Barry,

I had sent him a bug report earlier in the week on it, so yes he knows about it. Probably why he tickled everyone with his 16:9 comment!

Hi Guys,

I confirm that as well, any changes to the image stretch mode seems to have the same result.

However, the PD tick thief only picks on those images that have been altered (discrimination if you ask me!), if you mix altered and unaltered images in the slideshow, the ticks are left on the unaltered ones.

EDIT:
Also happens with 4:3 project and 16:9 images

Cheers
Adrian

Just loaded up PD to test a bit further; loaded up most recent project; green tick retention is now 'reversed'!!

Those on the timeline have green ticks
Those on the timeline and in a slideshow have lost their green ticks!
Expand the slideshow and back they come!

Completely opposite to yesterday! Very odd

I had started this project by loading all still images onto the timeline then using CLPV to stretch to 16:9; so both the images on the timeline and in the slideshows are 16:9

I will try some other things see if there is actually any pattern! Director Suite 365

Carried out Jeffs sequence;

Test 1

Happens as Jeff says

Test 2

Happens as Jeff says

Save and re-load - situation stays the same

HOWEVER

Test 1

Save & reload

1st time tried re-load

Ticks have re-appeared
Expand slides - ticks go
Put back into slideshow - ticks re-appear

2nd time tried reload

Bearing in mind last time saved it ticks are present

Ticks have gone again
Expand slideshow - ticks re-appear
BUT interesting - CLPV alterations have been lost
Re-apply CLPV & slideshow - ticks disappear as soon as you select finish then OK for 'all images merging'

This is what I found
1) Aspect ratio 16:9
2) 6 images on time line
3) Slide show
4) Ticks remain
5) Saved project
6) Reopened PD
7) Opened saved project
Ticks remain
9) Changed aspect ratio to 4:3
10) Ticks disappear
11) Dragged images to time line
12) Ticks reappear
13) Saved project
14) Reopened project
15) Ticks present
In both the above cases time line was expanded. Ticks remained

I just removed a photo from PIP. The tick remained.
Very unreliable piece of an otherwise excellent build. I am using 2227c.
