Is AVIVO needed for GPU(ATI) encoding in PowerDirector 7 (2519)?

On Vista32(Cat 9.1 & AVIVO 9.1) I can select GPU encondig.
On Vista64(Cat 9.1 & AVIVO not avaliable) I cannot select GPU encodign.
On Vista64(Cat 8.12 & AVIVO 8.12) I can select GPU encoding.

The difference is only in AVIVO present. I's possible?

Where did you get the Avivo 8.12 converter file. I can't seem to find it?

I have avivo 8.12 (file 8-12_vista32-64_xcode_72277.exe) from December 2008. This file is only for Vista32, but I try use it on Vista64.

okay, thanks I looked it up and found. Still doesn't show that the GPU in Catalyst Control Center is active. Oh well.

GPU load is very small when video is encoded. This screenshot is for target iPod.

Pet, thanks for the screen shot. Nice setup you have.My brother in law seems to have intermittent spikes of the GPU activity. But, the transcoding time wasn't good at all. 1 hour and 40 minute movie took a little over 3 hours to transcode in mpeg2 hd. Doesn't look promising or making me want to buy this stuff.
