I can load the DVD, Play the DVD in the screen, it detects the chapter information but the record button will not press and it doesn't record. It is not a protected DVD and I have tried multiple.....

What am I missing.....HELP>>>>>

I think you want to "explore" the disc contents from explorer.
Copy and paste the contents from the disc, to your hard drive.
Now bring the .vob file(s) into PD.
