When I transport my files from the camera to computer using panasonics software, it transports a very high quality (m2ts files I think). It then asks if I want to convert another file into MPEG, I do but this file is only half the size (Quality).
Question 1, should I be importing the high quality files into PD6 for editing/producing/creating or should I be importing the MPEG files into PD6 for editing/producing/creating.
Qustion 2, If I do want to burn a DVD using AVCHD for when I eventually buy a blue-ray player, then again which files should I be importing. I don't want to edit 2 seperate projects, just produce/create 2 seperate projects.
I notice that when I import the high quality files into PD6, PD informs me that it will convert the files into MPEG for editing. There is something very basic going on here that I am not understanding. My son's soccer season will begin shortly and I want to import the games week by week for editing then will produce/create the DVD at the end of the season so I want to get it right from early stages.
Sorry for the dumb questions, but without this forum, I'm on my own here.
