Windows 10 Creator's Update and PowerDVD 16
[Post New]
Quote I have the same problem with the initial install of PowerDVD 16 as part of Media Suite 14. PowerDVD16 simply won't open. I installed it when I under Windows 10 Anniversary update, but have the same problem with Windows 10 Creator 1703.

The Event Log error reads:
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\CyberLink\PowerDVD16\PowerDVD.exe.Manifest". Dependent Assembly Kanten.X,type="win32",version="1.0.0.0" could not be found.
I found a solution that permitted me to update PowerDVD16 to build 2406, which permits it to work fine.

I am having the exact same issue. Installed Windows 10 Creator and now PowerDVD 16 does not launch. I think I have localized it to 64bit OS vs. 32bit OS. On my 32bit machies PowerDVD is just fine. It's only on my 64bit machines that I have the issue.
