Another Crash Topic...(with Diagnostic)
[Post New]
Hey there,

I'm new to the CyberLink community so hey everyone!

I'm getting into video making again and have downloaded the free trial of Power Director 15 to my Sony Vaio laptop. According to the compatability check the system I have should support this program no problem. Well..when I open the program, click on full edit or quick edit, the main interface opens then just crashes without warning or anything.

I ran the diagnostic and as far as I can tell there are no errors? I've attacehd the file to this post if you'd like to check it out.

Apologies for the repeat post but I figured each crash is unique to the individual's device/software so here is mine!

Just a little about my current situation that might have influence on this: I live in Saudi Arabia where the internet is monitored and blocked at times. I downloaded the program without a VPN so maybe this censoring could have something to do with it? I don't think so though.

Anyway, I'd like to hear what you, the experts, have to say!

Cheers,

MW

Hi,

There are a couple of errors reported in your DXDiag.

The APPCRASH relating to PD15 also points to CompPkgSup.DLL

There are a couple of Win update failures as well.

The CompPkgSup.DLL issue may be related to the broken Win 10 March update? which is referenced here :

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/51734.page

and lots of info on the internet.

It would be worth checking these fixes out as a start?

Cheers
