We are users just like you so we don;t have any access to the reports you sent to Cyberlink Tech Support.

If you already posted the problem on the forum and no one has responded, no user who frequents this forum has experienced or solvewd the problem or they would have responded. .

BoilerPlate: To posters who ask for help -- it is nice to thank the volunteers who try to answer your questions !
Anything I post unless stated with a reference is my personal opinion.

Reading posts on this board and another shows more with this problem than just me. And you are correct that nobody has solved the problem, including CyberLink. A shame because Microsoft has cutoff the capability for USA users of CableCard based tuners like HDHR3-CC from SiliconDust to use a patched version of Windows Media Center in Windows 10. That WMC problem does not appear to affect non-US users and perhaps for non-US users of PowerDVD when playing local channels. We have a work around to view these channels in Windows 10 but that means stopping one program and starting another, doable but aggravating.

I understand you are a user as am I but I had hopes that someone from CyberLink would respond to at least acknowledge the problem.

Yes this is what I got on the 19th:

In regards to your concern,I would inform you that PowerDVD 16 supports video file's streaming via Home Media (DLNA) streaming feature, but does NOT support TV channel live streaming via the network nor Home Media (DLNA).

There are certain TV recorders supporting the Live streaming feature that port the TV channel to other player client with live video.

The streaming is not streaming a video file, but a TV channel's live video that PowerDVD does NOT support currently. Please feel free to contact us back for any further clarification or for any assistance related to CyberLink products.

In my ignorance I fail to see the answer here of why the "live" (non-drm) channel will display for several minutes and then stop while the streaming drm channels will continue displaying. Indication in the answer that PowerDVD16 does Not support TV channel live streaming is confusing since indeed it does for 25-30 minutes at least before it stops. Looks like I'll wait for the next update to see if it is fixed.

In previous trouble reports I have asked why PowerDVD 16 plays drm TV streaming but not non-drm (live) TV channel streaming beyond a few minutes.

Your reply:In regards to your concern,I would inform you that PowerDVD 16 supports video file's streaming via Home Media (DLNA) streaming feature, but does NOT support TV channel live streaming via the network nor Home Media (DLNA).

My current setup is Cable TV hookup to a STA1520 to SiliconDust HDHR3-CC (cable card) via coax cable and USB. The HDHR3-CC is also connected to the network router via RJ1 cable and router to PC.

I had occaison to update to Windows 10 build 15019 this weekend. PowerDVD found the HDHR3-CC and signaled it to be a HDHomeRun DMS as usual. In PC mode I checked all the Channel lineups found by PowerDVD. I found only DRM channels.

This puzzled me but also bore out your statement above. In previous installations I had used the same tuner driver location each time that I use with other versions of Windows. This time I chose a different location and installed the HDHR3-CC drivers, rebooted and behold, I now had all the live and DRM channels available.

The live TV plays as well as the DRM TV except it shuts off at around 30 minutes playing time.

I submit this for your consideration to examine the timer anomaly if possible in a near future update. BTW, I'm not interested in recording only viewing.
