GTX 970 vs 960 vs 1060

Wondering if there is any real world difference in either of these cards when used with a i7 4790k box with 16gbs of memory?

I could have sworn I read somewhere that a GTX 960 would work "better" with PD 14 than a 970 would. is that an urban legend?

And would the newer 10X0 series cards be better? Would 1060 be better than 960 or 970?

I'm quit happy with gtx 970 - even with GeForce Experience installed.

And I wonder - what is the problem?

Anja – I believe that sonic67 had already answered this question earlier to Off. There is nothing wrong with the gtx 970 as the 960 is preferred because it has a full hardware decode missing in the 970 and may be faster for video editing and cost less money. The gtx 970 cost about 3 times as much as the gtx 960 say $600 to $200.
