SmartSound will not work on my PowerDirector 7. I open MagicMusic but no SmartSound files show up and nothing happens when I click on SmartSound. I went to the support page and it gave me a link this ftp site: Please download SmartSound via this link
ftp://SmartSound: 44VM4KT3@ftp.gocyberlink.com And execute the following files manually. "QTarks_install.exe" and "MusicFile_Full.exe". No luck. I don't have a password to get into the ftp site. Anyone have these files or the password to the ftp site?

Thanks,
Saintranger

Go directly to the Smartsound website. From there you can acess the forum, troubleshooting, or customer service. They are very responsive, you can even call them!
It's likely you need the Quicktracks installer program, and the Full spectrum music download. You may also need Quicktime installed. Look at these issues and you may get results. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Smart Sound is a really great thing but they think way too much of themselves. I mean a a single CD from them costs as much as PD7 Ultra. If they dropped their prices down 75% I bet they'd make more money.

What is it like $15 for a single song?

It's just great technology. I am a big fan of SS.
As for pricing, yeah, I know. but they finished a sale where many of the discs were $25-50 US. Wait for the bargains, put SS in your favorites. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

For $25 I would have got 4 of their CD's. The songs adusting to the length you need is pretty amazing really.

Acutally they have a nice sale until Dec 31 where 12 of their CD's are $25.99 http://www.smartsound.com/specials/index.html

There always seems to be 16 songs per CD so $25.99 is somethign like $1.60 a track. There's so many things to spend money on. You'd really need to make a lot of videos to make it worthwhile.

With ANY purchase on that special you get SonicFire Pro 5 Express Tracks Edition free. I've been using their music for several years now and they have the most flexible and richest sounding of any royalty free music in my opinion.

SonicFire Pro lets you score the music outside of Cyberlink or any NLE, and gives you much more flexibility, allows you to get the full benefit of their "multi layer" music, and much more than I can type here.

Of the current 12 on sale, I highly recommend "Cinematic Excellence". I've used several tracks from that album. More than well worth the $25 cost, it has a rich variety of tracks from haunting and meloncholy to a couple of more adventurous tracks. If I didn't already have it I'd jump on that one quick.
