Hi,

I have many Hi 8 tapes and years ago transferred them years to digital to an 4.3 AVI files 768x576

I would like to do this again but to a higher resolution because of the bigger screens and higher res today.

What would be the beest way to do this please?

Thanks

i'll break it to you gently as possible.

Beta, Super B, ED-Beta, VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, 8mm, Hi8 and Di8 are in SD(640x480 or 720x480).

so to answer your ?, my answer is SD at 720x480.

let's say one wishes to upscaled to HD(1280x720).

one must accept the fact and the truth that either upscaling and downscaling

one will lose video sharpness and details... degree of loss is based on the source,

hence my favorite saying 'garbage in garbage out'.
