Thank you. Can I assume that producing in an average bitrate higher than video source capture (~26,000).. say... 60,000 causes issues with the rendering? The only difference between my settings and the ones your video instructs was I had left a far higher bitrate. The video did seem more "juddery" to me than expected and perhaps this is why.

well i read somewhere that max bitrate for optimum 1080 30p is around 32Mb/sec

and 1080 60p at 44Mb/sec for details and resolution.

Sony, for example, follows this by max bitrates for 1080 30p & 60p at 50Mb/sec for some

of their camcorders.

your source video is 50p at 25Mb/sec and you've upscaled bitrate to 60Mb/sec.

i won't do it.



now you know how to create and modify the custom profiles within the PD

try at 28Mb/sec or 32Mb/sec... or 60p, 30P or 24P to your liking for ultimately

I authored the outputs at 26, 28, and 32 MBs p/sec frame rate and can't tell the difference by eye. I do get different lags and "judders" but I think that's my memory usage and graphics card being choppy. The source files were all taken on the same device but the "average bit rate" field does vary by a few MBs between the files which are then strung together to make my output video.

because you're upscaling and downscaling shouldn't cause 'judders' in final output,

maybe the player is.



or attach short clips from your GoPro so that other forum members can troubleshoot...



go to http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ and see where your cpu and gpu are rated.

if your pc's numbers equal to or greater than my comps(see below in my signature or just above profile pm icons)

then something is diffenitely not right.

Once you duplicate the settings please compare the PDR14 output to GoPro Studio. Please let me know if you see any output quality difference. Thanks.
