Any advice on how to "Capture Analog Video (VHS VCR) using PowerDirector7".
I have a VC-211A.
Thanks

I too cannot capture analogue with PD. Just try Windows Movie Maker. Video editing is a multi-program endeavor! HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

To capture from a VCR, one needs a Video Capture Device, such as a Pinnacle Moviebox or Dazzle. I use the Moviebox USB device and it works quite well. The VCR plugs into it with composite connections, then it is attached to a USB port on the computer. PD7 detects it in the Capture mode.

I have also used the Dazzle a couple of times on a friend's machine. No probs there either.

These are both external devices, there are also internal devices, however, I don't have experience with them to offer.

Hi george,

Is your Sound and Audio Properties Device Settings, in the Windows Control Panel, set to “USB Device”, when you use your Dazzle?

Start > Control Panel > Sound and Audio Devices > Audio > Sound Recording (assure it is set to “USB” device) > OK
- You may also need to...
Start > Control Panel > Sound and Audio Devices > Audio > Sound Playback (assure it is set to “USB” device) > OK
- You can also try to do this in the Voice tab to be double sure that all audio from a USB device is being recognized
- Remember to switch these settings back to where they were. Especially if you use a microphone a lot.

This may not pertain to your particular problem, but it works for me when I use either my video or audio USB devices.
