PD 14 Update Issues?
[Post New]
So I am using a version of PD 14 from roughly 5 or 6 months ago since I typically wait to update till the bugs are ironed out. I kept the version I had because for the most part, it is doing what I need it to do. However, the one issue I continue to have is with the preview quality. It constantly lags and makes it nearly impossible for precise editing. Before you ask, yes I have tried lowering the preview quality which doesn't alleviate the issue, and I am running it on a machine which is more than adequate. My main question is if I should download the latest update? Has the preview rendering improved at all? Thanks.

If you are editing together multiple short clips like I often do then it is completely counter-prodcutive to just produce a section every time to see how it looks. This is especially true when you have to perfectly time the frames in back-to-back clips. It slows down the process immensely. It's a feature included in every editor I have ever used and should funtion properly whether there are other workable methods or not.

try disabling

Preferences - Hardware Acceleration - enable hardware decoding

it is just left of Produce button. it's a gear wheel.

Thanks for the reply! I'll try that as soon as I'm able and let you know how it works.

Tried enabling Hardware Decoding and unfortunately it doesn't appear to be helping all that much...
