"Ghost" tracks on timeline...

This has not happened with previous versions...I'll either record a voice track or drag a video track to the timeline. Then I'll delete it and although it's not visibly still on the track, it will still play! I have actually removed tracks from the disc and they still play in the timeline. the only way to remove the track is to close the program and open it again.

Does anybody else have this problem? Is CL aware of it?

I've never tried playing a blank timeline. What's the point? Does it interfere with editing in some way?

Yes a blank space that actually contains something - something that you CAN'T remove - but presents as invisible on the timeline - interferes with the editing!! I'm not talking about a full blank timeline, just a blank space in the timeline that contains something you can't remove unless you close and re-open the program.

Please make a screen capture video of the event, so we can see and check the actions you are doing/showing us.

Please also provide diagostic data, see part A & B information in the guide http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page

it doesn't happen all the time ...I will try to capture it next time...but it may be a while. I will state my version and build and attach the diagnostic file.

BTW I found out about the close-reopen-the-program solution from someone who posted about this phenomenon for an earlier version of PD. You can use "ghost tracks" as a search in the forums to find the post. Version 14 is the first version in which this has happened to me.

I've got other buggy issues...does it make sense to uninstall and reinstall?
