Fading in and out a blurred background?
[Post New]
Hi All, a noob here embarassed

I could do with your help if you can?...

Ive only just got CD4 and I was looking to add a blurred background on a motion tracked mask, I can see that the blur can be added at what ever degree you choose but can I actually fade in and fade out the blur? Does it need to be keyframed or is there a tool that assists with achieving this as I cant seem to find anything?

Many thanks cool

Hello JasonW75,

Welcome to the CDR forum laughing

Once you've set the motion tracking mask, then inverted it to apply adjustments to the background, you need to open the Keyframe Settings (shown below).

That allows you to set the degree of blur to change throughout the clip. To fade it in then out, you'd need the first & last keyframes to be set to 0 & the internal keyframes set to 50-100 (whatever degree of blur you wish to apply).

These keyframe settings are available for ALL adjustments.
