0 loss export for re-importing?

Can someone point me in the right direction as to what settings I need to have when exporting to loose basically no quality?

I am rendering out shots using PIP but I actually need 3 layers which my PC can't handle. Instead I am doing the first layer and using Chrome Key on the second import to design the second layer. The only downside it after my first export I don't think I got the best quality as there is some diminishment from the original file and if I continue to render out the quality will continue to drop.

Long story short. What, if any export settings can I use to make the biggest monster of a perfect file?

Thanks Tim

Hi respawnseries,
Five bits of info you should provide to members please so you get the best answer.
1. What build of PDR14 are you using, see Part A in the guide?
2. A diagnostic of your PC, see Part B in the guide.
3. A screenshot of your project insitu in the Edit workspace. Part E & F in the guide.
4. The MediaInfo of the video you're editing, see Part J in the guide.
5. What are you creating the video for, so we can advise/suggest the best output to choose?

Sorry to respond to your question with another one but shouldnt it not make any difference? I just want to have the highest quality possible which I intend to put right back into Cyberlink 14 again? Tim

Unless you are working with RAW uncompressed video, you always will have some generational loss.
There are formats that are more resilient to that, but none are for home-use (like PD is):

I would normally aim at the same output format as the input format, perhaps using the SVRT feature. Also, a bigger file doesn't necessarily mean less loss of image quality. If you're motivated enough, you could just experiment producing in different formats. You may want to create a custom profile in each format to set the highest bitrate available…
