Fade from black head

Hi

I want to add a fade from black at the head of an edited movie. I created a color board and dragged it to the head of the timeline but it can only be placed in the layers, and not before the main video layer which is on top. As a result it cannot be faded with my first video.

Is there a way to add a color board to the main video layer, before the first clip?

I solved it by adding the plate to the end of the video layer and dragging it to the beginning
