PD14 Ultimate.... When I click on the record button I get the following error:

CyberLink PowerDirector could not start the recording process. This may be due to:

  1. Your computer's operating system not recognizing the capture device.

  2. The capture format not being compliant with the industry standard format.

  3. There being no time/date stamp information on the tape or the information containing errors.

Try to:

  1. Ensure your capture device's driver is up to date and be correctly detected in the Control Panel.

  2. Reset the capture settings to default within the capture device application you are using.

  3. Choose "Do not detect scenes after capture" in the Capture Preferences.

I saw another post about replacing the dll which i tried and it didnt work. My drivers are up to date. The webcam works in other software like OBS. I chose "Do not detect scenes after Capture".

I am not sure what else to try. Nothing seems to work. This is a very fresh install of PowerDirector, less than 24 hours now.

You can try capturing with the software supplied with that webcam and then import the saved files to PD14.

Thanks Tomasc. I just downloaded youcam and deleted the dlls to make that work and will use that. Not sure why it doesnt work, maybe the webcam is too old. But it works fine in youcam.
