Possible audio bug in newest patch (1713 and 1907)

I didn't have these things happen until the latest patch was installed. My audio keeps resetting to PCM instead of non-decided HD audio. On top of that, 40-50% of BR Discs played well not play the HD codec. It will only play the base layer of DTS or Dolby Digital. I'm not sure if PowerDVD isn't picking up the HD flag properly or what. I haven't ever seen this happen in any of the other five or versions of PowdeRED I've used either. Nothing has changed in my HTPC or audio equipment, just patching PowerDVD. Any thoughts?

Remember that this thread will be on this forum for a long time so that latest might not be a good way of identifying which patch.

Please psot the full name of the patch build 1907 or 1713 would be better.

Have yo9u rebooted? Did you have your antivirus active during the patch attempt? .

Good point on the patch version in the title. I didn't even think about that. I edited the title to include it. It started with patch 1713, but it has continued to 1907 (to a lesser degree, but all movies do not play the HD audio track). Yes, I've rebooted the HTPC as well as did a soft reset on my audio processor. No changes after doing these things.

What's the AMP you connected?
Is the HD audio compatibility properly recognized by Windows?

Check it "during" the BD playback.

It's a Marantz AV7702 processor with Dolby Atmos. Before upgrading to 1713, Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD-MA and Dolby Atmos bitstreamed perfectly from PowerDVD 14, 15 and 16 (pre-1713) without any issues whatsoever. Since updating PowerDVD16 to 1713 and now 1907, bitstreaming these HD codecs are hit or miss. No other configuration change has occurred on either the HTPC/PowerDVD or my audio processor (Marantz 7702).
