I have tried that, but then I realized that I have both iPhone 6 Footage, as well as my GoPro Footage. SO the iPhone 6 Footage is set automatically at 29.97 FPS. So it's really two different types of Footage in the Timeline.

All I need to really know is when I render the video, will the finalized product be automatically smooth.

And if not, how can I possibly fix this issue?

With the preferences set to 59.94 then the next frame button will advance 1 frames on each keypress on your GoPro video whereas it takes 2 keypress of the next frame button to advance 1 frame on your iphone 6 video. You can change the iphone 6 video setting to be the same as on your GoPro. The smoothness of the video will then match that from the GoPro.

I mix 29.97 fps and 59.94 fps video clips anyway on my timeline. The background video can be the standing choir group shot at 29.97 fps while the active performer close up is shot at 59.94 fps for smoothness. The answer to your question is no if the iphone 6 video footage has as much motion as the GoPro video footage.

My understanding is if you set the frame rate to the lower of the two then PD will drop alternate frames from the higher-rate source whereas if you set to the higher rate it will double up frames from the lower. You should, in theory, get smoother results by setting to the higher rate as the GoPro source material will then play at its native rate whilst the iPhone footage will be doubled but obviously won't be any smoother than it would played back at its native rate. So I'm a bit confused...I would rather not have to change any settings on my iPhone/GoPro, but if I have to I will. I just want smoothness in the Final Product, that's all.

I'm not sure what my best avenue would be...do I have to re-shoot all my stuff on my GoPro? Since the quality is better than the iPhone? Do I just change my settings to 60FPS in PD12?
