PowerDVD 16 naming convention for files?

What is the PowerDVD 16 naming convention for files, to ensure it finds movie artwork and info?

I have blu-ray and DVD ISOs. I'm naming them per Plex and Kodi convention of putting the iso in a folder named "Movie Title (YYYY)" where the YYYY is the theatrical release year according to IMDB. This is working overall quite well, and PDVD has found most of the art and info for my files.

However, it misses some easy ones, like Disney's Monsters Inc "Monsters, Inc. (2001)" and Corpse Bride "Corpse Bride (2005)". And some less easy ones, but still well known movies, are also failing such as Amelie and Nausicca Valley of the Wind.

What's the trick to getting PDVD to find artwork on movies?

I hope that PDVD's movie info doesn't solely come from MoovieLine.com, because that site has serious problems with its dataset.

Hi DaveF,
PDVD's movie info come from MoovieLine.com
You can turn off the movie info features under Settings-->Player Settings-->Movie Info and than manipulate the info manually.

Best regards

Is it possible to use MoovieLine by default, but manually add information for items it doesn't find? I see how I can edit the data it finds from MoovieLine. But if it finds nothing, I can't find a way to add information to an unidentified movie / show.

Hopefully it's not all or nothing.

Also, is there a way to submit data requests to MoovieLive?

It doesn't know "Back to the Future III"! Seriously, how can a movie database site not know Back to the Future III?

How do you set the info manually? I turned off the Movie Info as you described. But there's no way to set the info, except for cover art.

Hi DaveF,
You have to do this locally:
1. Right click on the movie you want to rename-->Locate on Disk
2. Rename the movie on the disk

After clicking enter, you will see, it changes simultaneously in the PowerDVD library.

Oh. I thought there was a way to set meta-data for files, when MoovieLine doesn't have it or doesn't find it.

Note to Support: If MoovieLive is inactivated and you have your own artwork, PDVD does not use or display the actual JPG file name. It uses "Title" or "Subject" naming listed in the metadata. This is very problamatic, it requres you manage all metadata for every image. Removing these fields of metadata is the only way to insure the actual file name is used. I had to buy a license of Batch Purifier to fix this issue --been around since PDVD9.
