Hi,

I'm after a way of producing somthing like the (low res) end credit test footage attached. Notice a couple of thing:

  1. The player list and the musician list have their characters and names lined up with the center space - this is not line centred.

  2. Sound, lighting, etc, are all fully centred but scroll with the list above. It is not in a seperate text box.

The way this vid is achieved is by using non-proportional text and adding spaces to align the words, etc. Unfortunately, where the shorter lines have not got the appropriate number of characters, they look a little offset. This vid is created in Win10's Movie Maker, because I can't seem to reproduce anything like it in PDR. Is there a template that allows me to do this?

Matt

Hi Matt -

It's right under your nose! laughing In the Titles room, under Scroll there's a template called Ending Credits 001. That's the one I used in the attached project.

Like you, I had to type a lot of spaces to get things lined up.

It's just a fact of life that if you want that central space centred the whole line of text cannot be (unless the words on each side are of equal length).

Cheers - Tony

Thanks Tony,

I'm sure I looked into this one, and found there was a problem with it, but for the life of me, I cannot find what it was.

Consolas is a nice font that I chose for the credits, but it wasn't my first choice. What I had originally decided on was a proportional font, and that doesn't always work by adding space buffering. I would say that the majority of end credits would be something in the order of what you and I have produced here. So I'm amazed that Cyberlink hasn't produced a method that can do it easily.

I must be doing something wrong. I dont' have a Scroll in my Titles room.

I don't have much in it. I have two "custom" templates that I created (and disklike a lot) two "Downloaded"
nothing in "3D", One in 3D-like" and 4 in General.

That always seemed to be too few, most other video editing programs that I've tried/used had a bunch of standard/bundled templates.

What do I need to do to populate the Titles room?

Hi,
Check your purchase email. You will find the program download and Content packs links. You may already have downloaded and so all you need do is, install the Content pack(s) which came with your purchased version of PowerDirector.

Contact online support if you failed to download the Content pack and provide proof of purchase (date/order number). They may offer you a link.

Fishtop

In the Title Room select "ALL Content" at the top. See if that does the job for you.

I completely missed those content links. Downloading now. I expect it will fix all.

Thanks
