Thanks Neil,
Yes, it is short for Anthony but only my mother calls me that, and even then when I'm in trouble ;
I do want to keep it simple
I create cycling videos so I'd like to modify the breaking news titel and maybe add a frame so I can suggest HR range etc.
I may be able to create a frame in photoshop but can't see how to create a custom title so am looking for advice or help.#
Thanks again, much appreciated.
Anth.
Hi, Anth!
#You could easily create a custom title in Microsoft's Publisher or Word, using WordArt, copy what you've created there to Paint to tidy it up a bit, save as a Bitmap or PNG, then carry that over to Paint.Net and make a PNG transparency. There's your custom title produced, mport it into PD14 and drop it onto a PiP track(all video tracks from Vid. Track 2 upward are PiP tracks but can also lend themselves to other purposes). Once on the PiP track you can manipulate its size, position, duration on screen, motion effects, whatever!
There's also the inbuilt title creation facility called up by clicking on the "T" at left of the contents library. There's a range of presets which you simply change the text(and font style) to suit your project, or there's the default "My Title" which you manipulate to suit your needs, and, I think this has been available from PD9 onwards, "My 3D Title"! These can be edited and manipulated to your liking and can be put on the screen via the dedicated "title" track OR one of the PiP tracks! I did say the PiP tracks can lend themselves to other purposes! How cool is that!? PD14 has a few shortcomings but overall there's a heck of a lot more that can be achieved in PD14(and back to PD9) than had been possible in PD8 or earlier.
Hope that's been of some help!
Cheers!
Neil.
