Have you checked the sound card on your computer? Also, at bottom-right of your monitor, near the clock is the speaker icon, left-click there and see if the volume slider is all the way(or even part-way) up its path, check also that the volume has not been muted. Also, in the programme itself(PD14), check if the speaker icon there is also muted or not. These checks will go at least some way toward telling you why you have no sound.

One suggestion, on the preview player click the little rectangle between the speaker icon and the camera icon, be sure Real time Preview is checked. Non-real time preview is sound muted.
