You can use Google to search for "error code 8000FFFF" without the quotes.

You get a lot of hits that says that is an Windows Update error code. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

So I had my brother come and try to figure out what was going on.(He's a computer expert) After searching for solutions, uninstalling and reinstalling the program he found something that said it was the DVD menu that was used caused her problems. So I took the DVD menu off and low and behold it burned. So if you ever have this issue try a less high tech DVD menu.

When I attempt to burn to a DVD with PowerDirector Ultra 14.0.2707.0, I get the below error:

Burning unsuccessful
Error Code: eC00C0005

Possible cause(s)
Transcoding engine's fron end stream error

Might be due to
1. file broken
2. File Missing
3. Out of Memory

The one video I have to burn with my menu is a completely playable MP4 file.

I tried to burn with several different menus. Same result.

My system is Win 10 with 8GB of RAM.

Help with this much appreciated.

I installed Power2Go and was able to burn a disc with the same menu and content.

Does PowerDirector 14 have a bug?

Powerdirector has had Menu problems since about PD 7. Some things have improved, but most of the menu system is the same as PD7, PD8, PD9, PD10 thru at least PD12. There have been some modifications in PD 13 and PD14.

There are the built-in menus in Powerdirector that work as intended, when you make custom menus, you may have problems. Some of the Menus you find on Directorzone are OK, some are not OK.

I usually create a Disk Folder or a ISO file, then use external disk burning software. Powerdirector is good at creating content for Disks, just not great at burning those disks. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.
