There is ofcause some limitations in the trial verison, please look here.

There may be more limitations. Must admit I don't know how the limitted template pack has effect on the DVD menu designer, sorry.

Some of the wise guys might know and give you a propper answer.

Have a nice day smile

Hi Anja the Dane !

Thanks for your answer

I have now tried a little bit, but i have no clue if this is right or wrong

I have in PowerDirector 14 Ultra put a short videoloop in the timeline at one track, and then just used Title room to put the word "Play", then i have Modify the text and used "Motion" and a curve so the text is moving to a destination, thats how i want, perfect.

Now to the next issue, can i save this "project" and use it in menu-designer ? How ?

If so, how can i in menu-designer link the word "Play" to a chapter or something ?

Thanks in advance
This is so fun to learn, but i have to get it today or tomorrow to be able to buy the full version latest 5/4.

Hi Sweman -

I really don't want to burst your bubble, but it would REALLY take some doing to get that menu you're after.

Animated text sliding in becoming active links? Not easily. It's "doable" but I wouldn't be attempting it on my first journey through PDR.

What I'm saying is, PDR won't do what you're after without you tricking it into looking like it is. You said in another thread that "it was important" to you... so I just didn't want you to go ahead thinking it would come easily.

In any case (ignoring the menu idea for a minute) you're doing well to get the text doing what you want on screen. Please don't think I'm trying to discourage you. Just being realistic.

Yes - you could produce that video and use it as a video background for your menu BUT you cannot make active links from that background video.

Cheers - Tony

Hi again Sweman,

Yoy can download the userguide from *here* and read about the menu designer.

Also, search this forum with the keyword menu / menu designer.

Further, go to PDTOOTS chanal at YouTube here You'll find a lot tutorials also some dealing with menus.
e.g. * this * is one of them - and * here * an other.
Or just search YouTube with "powerdirector create menu"

Hope this helps a bit.

I myself very seldom make DVDs - I normaly just make short m2s (some times wmv) videos to place at my NAS or YuoTube.

Hi ynotfish and thanks for your help.

Thats true, as you said, if its to difficult then its not funny, i have looked at DVD Architect Pro also that have that function, but cost 185,95 eur, so i thought that there was a cheaper and simplier way to do this kind of menus, i have to think about how importent this is to me with animated text sliding in becoming active links.
