"Concurrent Sessions Not Supported"
[Post New]
So thanks to Richmond Dan, I solved the problem of constant crashing due to GeForce Experience (still confused as to why that causes crashing.)

But now the program (and this is a problem I mentioned in that topic) will not close completely whenever I have to send error reports. I searched the forums and didn't find anyone having this problem on PDR14.

And everytime it doesn't fully close on its own, I have to reboot my computer. I've searched in and out of task manager on windows 10. Under services, under details, under processes. There's only 1 process associated with PDR14, and 1 service. PDR.exe and RichVideo64 the service. If I kill both of these I still get an error message "Concurrent sessions not support."

What am I missing to kill? Is there a way for PDR to restart itself?

It is good that your constant crashing is fixed now. You appear to be asking why you have to reboot your pc when it used to crash. You don't. End the process of PDR.exe with the task manager is all you need to do in order to allow you to open PD14 again. Ending any other processes could cause you the need to reboot the pc as you have found.

A win 10 user may be able to give you a specific answer about this.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is PDR.exe isn't in the task manager. There's nothing to kill. It seems it's gone but it won't re-open.

In task Manager, when Powerdirector 14 is running or hung, you see PDR.exe on the Processes tab.

Looks like you are down in "Background processes". Click the "View" at the top of your task manager and unselect "Group by type" so everything is alphabetical or scroll to the top of current view settings and look at the "Apps" group. You will see PowerDirector 14.

I have been having the same issue as a Windows 10 user. The real problem is that I am now getting the same error message even though I have already deleted and refreshed all PDR and Power Director 14 processes and they no longer appear in the Background Processes and Apps in Task Manager.

What other Background Process or Windows 10 Process that needs to be ended in order for PDR 14 to open properly?

I just waited 10 minutes and it seemed to have corrected itself automatically and now opens without that error message. Weird...

Re-booting the computer will usually free up Powerdirector.

PD does leave some processes running if Powerdirector is not shut down correctly. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

This problem occurs most frequently when PD crashes for some unknown reason and I have to manually end the task in Windows 10.

If I knew the what the other processes PD leaves often after crashing, I could possibly just restart those processes rather than have to reboot which is another 5 min process in itself.
