Saving a Mask as Preset in Colordirector 4

I am becoming very discouraged by what seems to be an obvious thing missing...I have numerous clips that will require the same mask...as in same shape and same adjustments...but nowhere can I see how to save the mask as a preset...when I create a new preset nothing related to the mask is saved....how can this be?

Masks are a huge part of the software and not being able to save and reuse them is pointless.

Hello rw123,

Welcome to the CDR forum laughing

You're quite right. Masks cannot be saved as presets. The "presets" are adjustments made either globally or to a selected region (mask).

I'm sorry you're discouraged, but the most typical common adjustment made to videos is colour fixing & modification - hence presets.

If you need to apply the same mask to multiple videos you could combine them and produce them as a single video file. Then you could apply the mask/adjustments to the newly produced video.
