Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but,

Recently when I output my videos from PD 14 the audio slowly gets out of sync with the video.

The FPS the original video is in is 30.

I was wondering if the problem comes from the fact that PD uses 29.97 as the FPS.

If anyone knows a way to fix this it would be really helpfull.

**I'v tried setting the FPS to 30 as a custom produce profile, but that dosn't work either.

If your audio is MP3 fomat, that may explain the slowly going out of sync issue.

If in doubt, try using the WAV audio format.

MP3 variable rate audio is sometimes the cause. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Im recording the videos using bandicam so the audio and video are one file. I will attach my bandicam settings if that helps.

Is there a LPCM selection in your Bandicam? Under Audio try the dropdown arrow at Codec.

LPCM or WAV will get better audio, but it does make for larger audio portion of the Video file.

I do not use Bandicam, so It is largely a guess on my part. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

There is A PCM option. Is that the same thing? Also I am just a little confused because the video file works fine on its own. It's just when I bring it into PD that it dosn't work.

Yes, PCM is the same as WAV.

You can see both terms explained here:

I also do 4K gaming video's using BandiCam. My settings: File type MP4/Audio Codex AAC

The problem I had with File Type AVI, is the sound was good, the video was at 2X speed. Almost the other way around for me.

Video and audio sync'ed up when I use the MP4 file type. Actually no other audio option with Mp4, just AAC (using PD14)

Does that mean you have your audio sync problem solved?

AAC audio does not have the same problem with syncing as MP3 variable rate. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Originally it was my avi video settin gwas running too fast for the audio. It was suggest on youtube to not use avi, but MP4.

MP4 works perfectly for me both audio and video.

Hi kmjk333,
The knowledge you have with using Bandicam video screen capture to PowerDirector would be usefully shared as a New Topic please. On this forum we have seen so many posts by gamers struggling to capture/edit, I think it would be great if in your thread you lay out your Bandicam settings for video capture that is then edited in PowerDirector successfully.

I know I'd bookmark the thread you'd start. I'd point gamers experiencing difficulties to read your thread.

Dafydd

Thanks kmjk333 and Carl312. Changing the format to mp4 fixed all my issues. Didn't even have to re-edit the video just made PD import the new version of the clips when it asked for the old ones.

You are welcome. I made the same suggestion in another forum and changing to MP4 did the trick. Thanks for posting back. 2 for 2
