Adding WMV files to a new PD project

This makes very little sense. I've added several PD-produced MWV files to a new project. When I place one on the time line and save the project, PD invariably crashes.

Why in the world would PD14 crash with the only media in the timeline is itself a video produced by PD14? Chuck Puckett

Wanna know something even weirder? I can download (as MP4) the same videos from youtube, AND THEY WORK FINE!
What's up with that? Chuck Puckett

Youtube re-renders every video uploaded. You downloaded Youtube's MP4 version that is online.

You know Chuck - sometimes you're just too sensible & logical for your own good! laughing

I can't explain why PDR14 crashes when the timeline only contains WMVs born of its own render engine. Which profile did you use to produce? Perhaps there's something amiss with the profile? I know that's stabbing in the dark & defies logic, but...

Cheers - Tony
