Top and bottom bars staying on

The top and bottom bars on PowerDVD 15 have suddenly stopped going off. Usually they go off after just a few seconds. I went into audio settings to set an audio delay to resolve lipsync issues and when I returned to the main screen the top and bottom bars just stayed on. I have tried moving the mouse pointer off to the side of the screen, double-clicking the screen, clicking the "cross" box at the bottom right corner, selecting "fullscreen" from the menu and exiting and resetting the software. But the problem just persists. Can anyone suggest something else I might try?

I sometimes get this issue. From memory logging off Windows and logging back on again fixes the problem.

if you maximize your window from the bottom right of the screen rather than from the windows maximize icon at the top right, it solves this issue. Been a problem since at least PDVD 11.
