adjusting volume on one of the stereo channels

I am new to audio editing. I have a preamp adapter that allows me to send both mics onto the left channel. It sends noise into the right channel to disable the in camera AGC.

I now want to delete the right channel from the audio.

I can listen to the channels separately in the edit module but all adjustments seem to apply to both channels. If I could delete or mute the right channel, that'd be great but I can't seem to figure out how.

I start with importing an mp4 video file.

If you switch to single channel edit you can highlight the "right" channel and then delete all or parts of it.

Not sure of your final intent, you might be bettter off to simply copy the left to the right which you can do in this mode as well. The attached pic should help.

Thanks, makes sense. I was able to insert silence into the right channel which effectively deleted it and then I copied and pasted the left channel to the right.

Is there any way to automate processes like this in AD? Like a batch process to automatically apply changes like this whenever I have new files and have a specific set of procedures to automatically follow.

I know of no process automation within AD. One can always use a third party task automation utility, I've done that often with PD for instance.
