Closure, Hope, Maps, Roots, Self (video submission to Bogota Festival, "Pixels of identities")

I came across this call from a FB post just before the holiday and thought I'd have a go;

For this theme I thought of sustainable versus finite resources amd how it affects ordinary people like me. The factory closes and the exultant feeling of freedom and hope is very short lived. The need to find other employment soon becomes paramount. Behind all this is the knowledge that doing something sustainable and be paid for it remains out of reach.Yet these glimpses of freedom persist in our lives and one day we may all be able to pursue what we all see as the right course of action.

-----------------------------------

Fifty years of photography and tired of the single image led me to making digital art montages. This in turn to finding the CSS code to make cross fading before and after images. From there another step to using video creation software to put together many images cross fading into each other. Finally to making the sound tracks myself on a drone synthesixer that I made myself using Ray Wilson's circuit for his Weird Sound Generator.

Making these videos is the most rewarding thing I have ever done, it brings together the two sides of my life on one side artistic interpretation and on the other the technical know how, I am also my own model and therefore always available. This gives me total control of the processes from inception to presentation.

The video on YouTube is in 960 x 720 HD A 1440 x 1080 HD size and a 4K up to 4096 x 3072 size are also available

I beleive that each individual should persue their hobby if that is what they want. Having your art displayed to others would be wonderful at the art gallery.
