As previously stated in this thread, the inability for PD14 to work with Titler Pro 4 is a real pain and such a shame for the Cyberlink company. PowerDirector really IS one of the easiest NLE/video makers to work with. I've tried many of the other 'budget' programmes (not costing the price of a new car to purchase, literally) and this is by FAR the best option.
I have gone to the trouble of exporting .mov files to use in my video projects because NewBlueFX TitlerPro 4 has so many wonderful options and professional looking templates and ways to edit them etc. etc. It IS a very nice programme also, not too difficult to get the hang of, and produces very professional results. I really really really wish it was integrated into PDR14, as it would make all this switching programmes back and forth redundant, AS IT SHOULD BE. As 'Pekr' said previously, for those familiar with computer coding it wouldn't take more that a single day to fully integrate it, since it is ALREADY integrated partly in Titler Pro 1.
I still use the standalone 'Titler Pro 4' because I just haven't got the same options in PowerDirector14. Sadly I have to get my 'export .mov file' right the first time, not an easy task as once you import it to your PDR project, you suddenly realize the text should be slightly smaller or a slightly darker colour or whatever... and so back to 'Titler Pro 4' to readjust things, all of course which would be redundant if the programme was fully integrated like Titler Pro 1 IS.
I can only speculate and conclude, that since the root of all evil is money, that money is the main reason why I have to mess around switching programmes. Cyberlink don't want to pay whatever NewBlueFX are asking... or something similar. Money money money, it's a gas as someone once said, "Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash"... why did you bother integrating Titler Pro 1???
Someone broken some promises somewhere, not paying up? And the users have to deal with it...
