NewBlueFX Titler Pro 4 & PD 14?
[Post New]
How do you start TitlerPro 4 from the PD? I can see only Titler Pro 1 in the Titles section.

Hi,
I have passed on some of the feedback (a summary/what BrianMitchell108 wrote) and the link to this thread, to CyberLink. Maybe that'll help.

I can't, that's the problem. I can only start it as a standalone. However after installing it (as a standalone) during the installation it must have partly integrated because I found folders within Titler Pro 1.0 that weren't there before, but they are NOT useable because all the examples inside each folder come out watermarked. I actually explained all this in my previous post. The same examples that have appeared in Titler 1.0 that are NOT useable are there in the standalone and ARE useable, but only within the standalone which requires exporting the finished creations etc. which DOES work. You export a .mov file and then import it into PD. That does work but it's an extra hassle AND you can't make adjustments/edit without having to go back and forward between programmes, if for example the font is too big, colour needs adjusting etc. etc.

Thank you for passing on the info. Much appreciated.

Hi, all!

Based on the preceeding discussion, I will, if I spot NewBlue Titler Pro 4 offered for sale anywhere, I'll sidestep it and give it the "flick-pass". NewBlue Titler Pro 4 seems to be giving a lot of grief to several people and that's grief I can do without. I've got enough to deal with already. As an example, I opened PD14 and then pulled a video in and opened the Chapter room so I could properly explain the use of chapters in another thread. Now, when I pull anything into my timeline I immediately get an unwanted chapter marker at the start of the clip that I never got in previous uses of PD14, and I have no way of removing it. It's a pest! So while that situation is not the same as the problems generated by NewBlue Titler Pro 4, it is, nonetheless, still something I can well do without!

Cheers!

Hi,

I have a full version of Titler Pro 4 and the only export option I can actually see is the .mov As I said - I don't use it much, as it does not work with PD properly and I have better things to do, than to save as a movie, reimport into PD and continue.

CL should be really ashamed to offer Pro 1 as a plugin, and then not being able to negotiate support for newer versions. My bet, as a former programmer, is, that it would took max 1 day of work! So what we are left with is to stare at the list of other NLEs supported, or switch to some supported one ... which is never an easy task ...

As previously stated in this thread, the inability for PD14 to work with Titler Pro 4 is a real pain and such a shame for the Cyberlink company. PowerDirector really IS one of the easiest NLE/video makers to work with. I've tried many of the other 'budget' programmes (not costing the price of a new car to purchase, literally) and this is by FAR the best option.

I have gone to the trouble of exporting .mov files to use in my video projects because NewBlueFX TitlerPro 4 has so many wonderful options and professional looking templates and ways to edit them etc. etc. It IS a very nice programme also, not too difficult to get the hang of, and produces very professional results. I really really really wish it was integrated into PDR14, as it would make all this switching programmes back and forth redundant, AS IT SHOULD BE. As 'Pekr' said previously, for those familiar with computer coding it wouldn't take more that a single day to fully integrate it, since it is ALREADY integrated partly in Titler Pro 1.

I still use the standalone 'Titler Pro 4' because I just haven't got the same options in PowerDirector14. Sadly I have to get my 'export .mov file' right the first time, not an easy task as once you import it to your PDR project, you suddenly realize the text should be slightly smaller or a slightly darker colour or whatever... and so back to 'Titler Pro 4' to readjust things, all of course which would be redundant if the programme was fully integrated like Titler Pro 1 IS.

I can only speculate and conclude, that since the root of all evil is money, that money is the main reason why I have to mess around switching programmes. Cyberlink don't want to pay whatever NewBlueFX are asking... or something similar. Money money money, it's a gas as someone once said, "Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash"... why did you bother integrating Titler Pro 1???

Someone broken some promises somewhere, not paying up? And the users have to deal with it...

Perfectly said. I already expressed my opinion to the NewBlueFX, but their reply was really vague - felt like talking to the broken machine. I am looking forward to the day, when the version 5 is out and they send me a promotion ; Of course ditto with CL.

You know - if it would be difficult to achieve, well then. But as we are almost there, I can see it as an incompetency. Now who to blame? :

Maybe I should tweet about it, making a bit bad PR, so maybe then someone finally wakes up? :

Do NOT buy from Newblue. If your program does not work or you have any problems, they will NOT honor any help or return policies. Even when they send out updates for a specific program (in my case powerdirector) and they do not realize the program does not work with it, they will not stand behind their product.

Reading these posts, I take it New Blue just got a massive vote of "No Confidence"!

Daniel, welcome to the Forum, too bad your first post is a shot at New Blue, which I have always found to be an excellent product and a responsive company. Perhaps, Daniel, you would care to start your own thread and explain what your issue is. It does nobody any good to just show up here to blow off some steam and not explain the problem or look for a fix.
The business of business is quite different from the technical part of business, but it would be nice if newer versions of Titler Pro could be integrated, but maybe there are contractual issues with other NLE makers, we do not know what goes on in the dark rooms of sales and development.
That being said I have PLENTY OF CONFIDENCE in New Blue to put out good products and support them, that is why I would like more from them, not less. Of course it may be CYBERLINK's decision to not implement it.
As stated earlier in the thread, if more noise is made it could result in either more information or an actual step forward in getting Titler upgraded. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
