Dear -pekr-
Sorry I haven't 'bugged' either of them, well, not directly. I kind of thought this forum might have some connections to the aforementioned companies. I do see a 'Cyberlink' logo top left of the screen. It looks real, I did connect to it through a link on the Cyberlink Powerdirector programme which I use so it all looks real.... Surely there are some moderators on here that have some connection to the company? Doest it still exist? Who knows in this modern day who the 'ell I'm connecting to or sending my money to.... I might be paying for any sort of ..... Ok sorry British humour.
I just want a fair deal. Is that too much to ask? They seem to think bombarding me (before Xmas) with this deal, that deal and the next deal is 'fair' game (and both companies have done this). Is it too much now that I've paid my cash, followed the highly professional ads and stumped up the money that I get some support here?? Well, maybe not, after all, money talks, BS walks as they say. And the little guy (me) is part of the BS. I wasn't kidding in my previous post, Da-Vinci whatever it's called £20,000!!!
I just don't have that kind of money. Nor do I want to spend months learning some new process to make a video of my grandkids jumping through hoops. If I may offer some praise here, Cyberlink Powerdirector does a fine job of that, kids jumping through hoops and the like. Me looking like the overweight grandad that I am. I'm 62 years old! I've been using Cyberlink for years, literally years. Many moons ago I tried Corel and Pinaccle and Ulead and Proshow and well, a bunch of them. Crashing, blue screens yeah that was great fun. Cyberlink works well, has a noobie easy to use interface but manages what I consider fairly proffesional results. I'm not with the BBC so I couldn't comment how good or bad my videos are.
I agree with -pekr-. It's beyond time someone in this company does something to help and move beyond amateur! It is NOT professional to offer a package that PARTLY infiltrates YOUR (CYBERLINK) programme but doesn't allow you to use the parts added! That is unbelievable!!!! Do YOU (CYBERLINK) know that's what it does? AND YOU ALLOW THIS? Titler 4 after installation threw a bunch of its parts into my powerdirector!!! I didn't give it permission to do that! Now its a BIG MESS. I don't know which transisions are new, (some have the SAME NAME) and in fact it has increased my time spent which I did not ask for! Is this transition new, will a watermark appear, is this template new, will a watermark appear, is this effect new... that is a rediculous position to be in. I have to go back and forward figuring out which one is the real one?
THIS IS ABSURD. Why (as -pekr- pointed out) take on a partner (NewBLUEFX) who then sh**s all over you? How many people, not as savvy or computer literate as myself are going to pay for titler 4 to find out that it is NO USE as an addon because it doesn't integrate!!! Well actually it DOES PARTLY. It sneaks a few bits in (with watermark).... well if it can do that it can EASILY sneak in THE REST. It is absolutely NO PROBLEM (and as -pekr- pointed out would take one of their IT experts 10 minutes). Guess what..... ah well we should have known, MONEY TALKS. Cyberlink didn't want to pay for the integration? Then why integrate AT ALL?
Don't give me "Oh well you should have tried the free version first" BS. After sticking highly proffesional video ads in my face and keeping the free version in super duper small print. Oh well,I should have known better than to be duped by the ads. Can't you see that your programmes are clearly considered small fry/amateur/ by these actions? Do you think I'll get my £90 back from NewBlueFX ... no chance. The absurdity is the fact that to integrate this programme is a ten minute job. For any IT professional. Shame. Shame on you for being the little company with the big ambitions who failed to help its customers.
Get your act together Cyberlink. Put some pressure on these cowboys! They're using YOUR CUSTOMERS to suck into their software. Don't throw the job back in our faces, it's YOUR software that's being exploited!!! Can't you see that?
