Use titles from Title Room instead of sub titles.

With titles you can use different color, size and fonts plus all kind of special effects.

Any idea how to do it?

Could you ask the on the FB site who made it and what he used?
It's mentioned on FB that there normaly will be resoopnce within an hour.

You control the speed of the highlight by the duration of the title. Faster is shorter duration.

That is a very simple explanation. The actual production is multiple titles, multiple tracks involved.

But clearly if one should know 'how to' it must be one of the PDTOOTS team.

I do not remember seeing any of the tutorials that directly apply to what Joseph is asking about. I do know it can be done, but it might take same learning of the various Text effects to do what Joseph wants to do.

Part of the problem is we are now using Powerdirector 14, but many of the tutorials were made in Powerdirector 8, PD 8 had one Title track. PD 14 has up to 99 Tracks that you can put Titles into. If you find the text effects Tutorials made in Powerdirector 9 and above, you might get a better idea of what can be done.

In the csreen capture, it looks like a sliding colour board fill is being used. That could work.

The simplest way I know how to do that is to use duplicate/modified titles, like this
