PowerDirector Ultra 14

I'm relatively new to video editing and this forum. I have some 240fps footage I am trying to slow down a good bit. I am having trouble doing what I want in the action camera plug in.

  1. It won't let me slow it down as much as I would like

  2. The clip doesn't appear to be 240fps when I edit it, when I click on prefrences it does show it is 240fps though.

any ideas? I'm sure its been discussed before, but I couldnt find what I wanted to know through the search.

If you want to slow Down the video speed try:
Tools-Power Tools-Video Speed-Speed Adjustment
and reduse the speed. PDR 14.0.4207.0 / Windows 10 64-bit / Asus / Intel i7-4790 3.60 GHz / 16GB RAM / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / DirectX 12

hmm.. dont have that option in ultra. When I try to add the clip to the timeline it says there is a conflict in fram rates to the timeline and the clip. I go to general prefrences and it doesn't let me go any higher than 60 fps?? On the website it says I should be able to do 240.

What website said you should be able to do 240? Gen/Prefs never went higher than 60 fps. Anja is correct. It is in the ultra. 240 fps from a camera is used to produce smooth 8x slow motion. It is not used to produve standard video.

Thanks for the help so far. That is what I am trying to do. I can't seem to find the tab for tools like anja suggested.

Topic was discussed here, http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/46061.page#238181

Timeline unchanged, "Produce" options changed for higher fps.

That website state: Import 120/240fps slow motion footage from your iPhone, GoPro or other action sports cameras . There are no normal 240 fps video that I know of that is not meant for slow motion. Use widows explorer on those clips to check the properties/details. It should tell you the frame rate like 29 fps.

Highlight a clip first then click on the tools icon for the drop down screen to get the power tool.

Let us know the windows explorer properties/details of those clips are with a screenshot.

and a screen shot from explorer showing 240fps. I am trying to make some very slow motion footage, maybe I didn't get that across at first.

Select the clip in the timeline, not in the media library. With the clip in the timeline and selected, a "Power Tools" icon appears just above the timeline, the speed adjustment tool is in there.
