I have 8mm films recorded to video. Some segments were shot with camera indoor film shot outdoors without the color filter - (Filter was called a Kodak Daylight Filter for Type A Color Films (No. 85)). Problem is that these segments have a resulting bluish tint along with a washed out look.

Anyone have any standard fixes for this other then trial and error with the Fix and Enhance controls in PD13? Thanks in Advance.

Adjusting the white balance generally fixes a lot of my color problems, but I haven't worked wirh film for many years, so I can not offer specific advice. __________________________________

Hello, dr78061

In fix/enhance you'll find a number of options(and between PD13 and PD14 they should be much the same), they are, in order from top down: In "Fix" you have Lighting Adjustment, Lense Correction, Video Stabiliser, Video Denoiser, Audio Denoiser, then below that you have, in "Enhance" Video Enhancement, Colour Adjustment(much more though, than just colour, sharpness, brightness, contrast and many more adjustments that can be "tweaked" to get your wanted result) and White Balance. Just tick the box next to the wanted function and it will open to give you the necessary effect you're after.

Hope that's of some help.

Cheers!

Neil.

You can also fix colors using ColorDirector, if you have that program you can choose actual colors to mute, and do not forget to look through your library of FX. New Blue has Color Fixer (Plus and Pro), Color balance, there may be others. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
