Can PowerDirector 14 create an ISO file to burn a DVD later? It is Power2Go inlcuded? Needed or not? I would like to grab an Adobe Premiere Pro exported movie and to create an ISO file. Also, Do I need a dual layer or single layer DVD? Adobe Encore creates problems reading second layer when using dual layer DVD. Thanks. Any way to decrease file size to fit into a dual layer, such as Smart whathever? Thanks.

Can PowerDirector 14 create an ISO file to burn a DVD later? Yes
It is Power2Go inlcuded? No
Needed or not? No, you can use any burn utility that you are familiar with that handles iso files. PD14 will not burn a iso latter once created.
Also, Do I need a dual layer or single layer DVD? Depends on size of your video, standard definition video on DVD, ~60min single layer, ~120min dual layer
Any way to decrease file size to fit into a dual layer, such as Smart whathever? A method outlined in this thread http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/43590.page and/or SmartFit, both can reduce quality. Acceptable PQ or not in the eye of the viewer.

Now, if I can create an ISO file to burn a DVD later, can I still use Premiere Pro, and then import to Power Director 14 to create the ISO?

Anyone doing that and if no problems burning dual layer DVDs?

Adobe Encore seems to fail some from a bulk on the same process. For example, 35 out of 50 work fine, and 15 dont work after certain time, like while breaking to the second layer.

Thanks a lot to those who have replied. Appreciated.

Any compatible video format from Premiere Pro used in PD will be fine. You say you are burning 50 DVD's directly from PP? I'd never trust any editor to have a good DVD burn engine, PD certainly does not. I often find it less error prone to output to a DVD folder or ISO and then use an appropriate burn utility for duplication. Any reasonable utility also offers verification for added confidence end user gets a workable disc.

Ok, I use Premiere Pro to work files from camcorder to make cuts, titles, etc. Then Export with Premiere Pro in almost any format such as MPEG2, H.264, etc.

In order to create an image, I use Adobe Encore, which takes the Mpeg2 audio and video files, or any other format, to assemble and ISO file, burn direct to disk, or folder. It has setting for both, single or dual layer DVDs. But the same ISO, when burning DVD's, some work and some dont.

Therefore, I am looking for a solution just for the ISO creation part of it. Thanks.

Your path appears a little awkward to maintain PQ to me but if it works for you that's what counts. Many free or purchased burn utilities can create a ISO from DVD folder if that's all your looking for.

Is the only thing I need, a reliable way to create an ISO file. I have a TV show that is 2 hours long. So far, I have been wasting plenty of single and dual layer DVDs.

Thanks.

I got P2Go free with my PDR14 upgrade offer. If you create an ISO in PDR13/14 there is another way to burn to DVD or BluRay. I found that Win8.1 has a hidden feature and can mount an ISO in a Virtual Drive without additional software. You can only burn one DVD at a time. It's not ideal but I have tested it on 2D ISO's and it works for DVD, AVCHD DVD, and Blu-ray.

See http://windows.about.com/od/windowsforbeginners/a/How-To-Mount-Or-Burn-Iso-Files-In-Windows-8.htm I don't have Win10 but assume it is the same.

I tried ImgBurn but found it was not so friendly and I created a lot of DVD coasters which would not play.

Suspicious people like me reading this post will wonder about a first post that is trying to get people to download unknown stuff onto their computers. Perhaps this last post is just spam for software with no virus or malware hidden inside it but either way - no thank you.
