I'm also interested into this. I also read that the video engine should have h265 encode/decode so I'd love to see some feedback into this Main Machine: Jetway NF9G-QM77, Intel i7-3610QM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3GB, 128gb SSD, Windows 10 Pro
Secondary Machine: Lenovo Y510p, Intel i7-4700MQ 2.4Ghz, 2x nVidia GT750M, 500GB SSHD, Windows 10 Education

It's still called QuickSync, they just added a new mode (FF-Mode):

if you've read the driver 355.xx and PD14 then you have to roll back to 347.xx to HA to work...

of course it will...

i went to GTX 960 from GTX 750Ti(75W) and save some time but it wasn't earth shuttering and

sucks up more electricity 120W. GTX 980Ti will drink 400W of electricity and more.

HA is ON. enjoy.

p.s.

do not mess with 355.xx drivers. you'll lose all your hair and go bald.

Difference it will be close to zero. Decoding and Encoding process uses the integrated nvenc encoder, that is totaly different from the CUDA cores. 950 has a newer and better nvenc because is Maxwell 2 part, as opposed to just Maxwell for 980.

PD doesn't use CUDA or OpenCL as far as I know. Some effects might, but you would need to really test them and even then, probably it won't count that much to justify the price difference.
