Hi all,
I am trialling PD7 and have been wondering. I'm a very newb.

I did some vid effects, title, etc, and found that after encoding to AVCHD 1920x1080 the file showed 15800 bps.

the original AVCHD file films run at 17000 bps.

Is it correct to say there is a loss of quality ?

I watched the original vid and the edited vid and did notice some degradation.

Am I on to something here ????

I have no idea about this stuff as I'm just getting into amateur video.

Am I editing correctly ? Or do I need to encode first or something ?

Could someone please tell me what happens. Any help appreciated.

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

There is a problem with AVCHD rendering. Search "AVCHD" in this forum.
A couple of links are below. I haven't had much luck with on-line support about it.
