Dear All

I upgraded from PD 12 to 13 yesterday. Suddenly when I import my images it is getting auto streched or schrinked and looks weird. It didnt happened in PD12. I am attaching the screenshot of both PD12 and PD13 on how it looks. Looking forward to your help. Also the images that I took vertically gets streched and trimmed and auto fit without allowing me to do how I want.

Hello BarryThank you for your quick reply. I am attaching coupe of images along with the screenshot of the vertical image.

lso getting more weird functionality in P13 when I do the Videos that my took (Vertically I am afraid) from Samsung. It shows Vertically in P13 and I thought wow great because i had to rotate in P12. Then I trimmed the unwanted videos. Then I played in from the Time line and it trimmed the actual video into a small thumbnail size.

hi vimalaraj

Here the picture 3832.JPG here also rotates when add in PD13.

Is there a topic that talks about this issue, but I have not found now.

The solution immediately, after adding the image in the timeline, select a photo directly rotate and resize the image in the preview;

If you have many images, Right click on the rotated image, select Copy Keyframe Attributes.

Select other photos that will rotate, Right click / Paste Keyframe Attributes.

I seem to remember recently, did we not have this very problem, and wasn't it found that orientation setting on the Samsung needed changing? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I will try to do as you have mentioned. But it is bit dissapointing after upgrading to P13 that I have these issues, I was reallly looking forward to P13.

That's very strange, because both pictures display normally in PD12 and PD13 here. I don't need to rotate either one, and they display normally in the library and on the timeline.

Here's PD12:

And this is PD13:

vimalaraj, I wonder if we could figure out what's going on if you ran the DxDiag test and posted the results. Details are in the first sticky thread at the top of the PD13 forum index.

Also, let us know what your version numbers are for PD12 and PD13. The latest versions are 3130 for 13 and 4120 for PD12.

I do see the black borders in the preview window. That is because the AR is 1.5. It is neither 4x3 or 16x9. Any pics can be rotated in windows before being imported as shown in the above screenshot.

His image shows the rotated image, as here, see the original image is in landscape add PD12 or 13 is portrait.

Normal I view photos in full screen using Windows image viewer.

Rotate photos and delete bad picturesIn this case, I would not have noticed what happened AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Playsound, this is how the images are displayed on my Win10 system in File Explorer (called Windows Explorer in Win8.1 and earlier):

This is also how both clips appear when I import them into PD12 and PD13. Everything looks correct, there is no stretching or distortion and the photos are displayed in the correct orientation, just like they are when opened with IrfanView, PhD6, MS Paint and the Win10 Photo app.

Every app I use displays the clips correctly, so I can't recreate OP's issue. I'm hoping that we can find something in the DxDiag that might be the answer; otherwise an uninstall/reinstall might help....

I did test again today and did as before in PD13.
After rotate in windows viewer, no more problem, even returning to what it was before.
But seeing the vimalaraj posting, shows landscape as I downloaded here, something out of the ordinary. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Hi optodata & Playsound

I don't know if this is significant, but did you notice that in PD when you go to "import media" the image IMG_3832 is shown on its side and when you click on it, the thumbnail shows the image correctly.

It would seem to me that PD is correcting something automatically Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,
