Audio Cut Error!!

I use Mirillis action as a game recording software, and I bought PD 13 to edit my content, but every since I purchased it I've had this issue. When I put my files into the work space (im using .avi files, but the same thing happens with .mp4) regardless of whether or not the audio is attached to the video (which it usually is), whenever I split the audio or video and try and play back the content or produce the content (in an file format), I get the same error. It is as follows:

Media Source Error Report :

Error type : Audio cut

Material type : Audio

Error information : Unknown

Material filename : C:\Action!\Video\dtm2.avi

Detailed information : EC_ERRORABORT ..\CES_Source\Src\CES_Engine\CES_MediaLoader.CPP:6805

Source filter GUID : E436EBB5-524F-11CE-9F53-0020AF0BA770

Splitter filter GUID : 1B544C20-FD0B-11CE-8C63-00AA0044B51E

I've dont research and looked up what to do for this "audio cut error" and done everything that has been advised in order to fix this. I've updated my graphics card drivers, I've updated windows media player (because sometimes I try and produce as a .wmv), I've updated power director 13, and I've disabled shadow files. I don't know what to do to stop this error from happening, but I'm sick and tired of not being able to use the footage I've recorded or being able to produce it. The one time this error didn't occur and I was actually able to produce something was when I didn't edit the footage at all. Someone pleeeease help, this is driving me crazy and I've tried everything.

Arianna, are you running on Windows 10? This *thread* will probably solve your problem if you are, and it's worth a try even if you're on Win7 or 8.1.

If not, could you please attach a short sample of a clip that's giving you trouble? That will usually help members identify the problem riught away.

My apologies. I accidently cut off the end part when I created the link. I've edited my last post and confirmed that the link works now.

Please follow the steps described there and let me know if it solves your problem. It should take care of everything!
