I am doing videos for my sons youtube channel. These are music videos and I have recorded the audio seperate. In this particular video he is playing piano and singing then he does a guitar solo at one point of the song. When I try to sync the video of the guitar solo to the audio it just freezes and jumps around. Syncing the audio to the video of him playing the piano was fine. It seems like the overlaping video is too much for it to handle. Both are shot in HD. I am doing this from a computer with an i7 processor, windows 8, 6GB RAM, 5400 RPM hard drive. I dont feel like the computer is the problem. I am fairly new to this software so there maybe something I'm not doing correctly. I am just wanting to fade to the B roll of the guitar sole during that part of the song. NOT WORKING!! can anyone help me???

Hi JT

Try producing the audio as a separate file. Then re-import it to the timeline and sync again Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Yes, start a new project import only the audio, produce it as file. Then open your old project and re-import the produced file and you might find it handles a lot better Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

The Shadowman showed the natural way to try to resolve your case.

To simplify more, select the audio on the timeline click the button Edit Audio / WaveEditor, make any edits, can be a Boster 1 db.

Click the X to close, save Yes.

The audio on the timeline has been renovated and most of the time fixed the problem.

Note: If you will only use the audio of a video.

Right-click on the video, select Unlik Video and audio, then just delete the video.

Or clear the Enable / Disable this track box to the left of the video.

Check the preview resolution. It should be set to high or normal. I am assuming both clips are at 1920x1080p60 resolution or less and the bitrate is less than 28Mbps on each clip.

I think I know what you are trying to do and if I am right it's simpler than it sounds.

Try this. I am assuming that audio in track 1 is not linked to the video.

Highlight the lower video track and go to the very first frame and place the scrubber there. Now without moving the scrubber highlight the top track and when you have done that select split.

Go back and highlight the lower video again and go to the very last frame and place the scrubber there. Now without moving the scrubber again highlight the top track. When this is done select split.

With the two splits in place highlight the top track and delete that section (delete and leave gap)

Go back to the lower track, highlight it and drag it up to the space you created.

Now you can add your transitions as necessary.

I hope this is correct Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Hi JTarv78,
See Part A & B in the guide: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/40225.page
Please provide the information.

6GB is the bare minimum to use HD video. 5400rpm drive, pretty likely the data transfer rate is slow. The Diagnostic (Part B), will show us the fuller PC spec we need. Likely your graphics card is under powered for HD editing. You're operating Shadow Edit Files, all the HD files in the Media Library will have to have the Shadow Edit Files produced before you start any editing. Another likely cause of the problem is the GPU not being powerful enough or/and shared RAM.

To remove the sample files uncheck the option in Preferences/Project/Automatically load sample clips..../OK
Your video editing experience would be much better if you used a more powerful computer.
Just an opinion.
