Hi,

yesterday at 5pm I left my PC producing a file, uploading anouther one to YouTube and copying another to a new location. It was obviously too much as when I arrived at work this morning PowerDircetor had crased and now will not produce any projects at all. The message I get is 'Production Unsuccesful. Please ensure your graphic cars drive is up to date and update to the latest verison of Windows Media Player or QuickTime software. You can also try to output the production in a difference video format.'

I have the lastest graphics update for my PC and Windows Media Player. I'm trying to save as an MP4. Other video do work, but I dont want them, I want to produce to MP4 as I normally do. I had produced several videos yesterday with no issue...

Any advice? If I couldn reinstall PowerDirector I would, but that involves using codes I no longer have.

Laine

If the problem is only with this project, talves is corrupted.

If so look for the last autosave project, talves this work.Folder autosave project, see picture.

I think it will need to enable show hidden and system files, Folder Options, Windows.

Note: You can change the Autosave folder to a location accessible but, as I have done here, makes it easy to search next autosave projects.

Is it a case that PD has locked up on you and you cant even close it down? This sometimes happens under the circumstances you have described.

If this is the case do Ctrl Alt Delete and use the task manager to end the program. You should then be able to open PD in the normal way. If it still doesn't open after this, reboot the PC and then all should be well.

Reload the file and produce it, but asking a little less from the memory and processor on the machine this time

Thanks both. I just noted the 'Fast Video Rendering Technology' box was ticked, removed th tick and all files are producing fine. I have no idea why this was an issue but it working again.
