Shaky Scroll Credit in PD 13

I am using PD 13 and producing a documentary which was long list of credit (run time is approx 1.45 min). I have used black screen and Scroll Credit 001 / Scroll Credit 002. Fonts are in white. While displaying credit I am playing two music tracks.

Did many experiments with various combination of font size and type, but every time after production these fonts appear shaky and blinking. Can someone aid in STEADY SCROLLING of credits.

This is AFTER your produce the video to a file or DVD? You may have some issues related to proper encoding of the project.

Please run a dxdiag.exe evaluation of your computer. Set it to produce a text file and then attach the text file to your reply. Do not copy the text file and post the long list of information.

What esle do you have running during the production of the file - antivirus, e-mail, etc?

Shaky Scroll Credit in PD 13

If you can produce video in HD or FullHD should not have Shaky.
For MPEG2 file, progressive too.
PD13 only makes DVD, interlaced mode.
The solution for me is to use another sofware to create DVD

Hi Amiangshu -

Long scrolling text in PDR has been juddery for years. I don't know what causes it, but it's there. Adjusting duration/scroll speed makes a difference. It seems to have a "sweet spot" for smoothest scrolling.

Here's 1:55 of scrolling text, produced to M2TS 1920x1080 @ 16MBps

I don't know about anyone else, but my PC (using PDR) is more responsive editing a 1 minute 4K clip shot at 50MBps than a 1 minute piece of scrolling text with nothing else in the timeline. So - there's something going on there!

Cheers - Tony
