Go to the little speaker icon under the preview screen and try turning the sound up Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Thanks but it seems the problem is elsewhere. Makes no sense because sound works for everything else....and the imported file shows a sound wav.

Thanks Sam

If you go to the audio mixing room what are the slider positions? Is audio 1 track showing anything and does it move when you play the file? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Audio Track one is the only slider that moves but it shows no volume level when you raise it. Sam

When you say the sound works fine for everything else what do you mean? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

This must have something to do with my audio card on the computer. Under preferences/audio channel it has only two choices-stereo or surround. There should be a choice there for my audio card......this must be the problem. Thanks so much for your help so far....any ideas about a sound card? Sam

yes, on my PC, when I unplug my sound card (have them everywhere) it works fine. Seems it doesn't want to play with external audio interfaces?? Sam

Long shot - As you think it may be an audio card problem try changing the audio setting at:

EDIT - GENERAL - AUDIO SETTING. A guess but it may help Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Just thought.

Check that you are NOT in NON REALTIME PREVIEW mode (no sound with this mode).

At General Audio Settings I can only chose Stereo or Surround. I think this is the problem. It should show the name of my audio interface as a selection...but it does not. Sam

Have you checked the NON REALTIME PREVIEW as suggested above. That's the last of my ideas, sorry I couldn't help Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,
