Testversion: Picture distorted after rendering

Hi,

I am currently checking out different Videoeditorsoftware, because I would like to know which suits me the best before I buy something. So I downloaded the Testversion of Powerdirector 13 aswell and I can say at this point that it is one of the two Programms (I tested 4 different Editors, the other 3 were: Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum, Corel Videostudio Pro X8, Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015) I take into further consideration. But I have one realy annoying issue, that is a dealbraker for me, if I am not able to solve it somehow. The thing is, that whenever I try to render some 60fps footage, I get some strange picture distorting, when rendering it. I made a screenshot of my settings in PD: Link! and of the rendering Settings: Link!

I hope you don't mind it's in german, but I guess you could still understand the important parts smile.

I uploaded the original footage aswell, it can be found here: Link!

And the Video after I rendered it with PD: Link!

I made a DxDiag File aswell, that you can find here: Link!

I asked in the german Forum first, but there was onyl one (realy nice and friendly) guy who could not find the Problem. I contacted the cyberlink support too, but they have not answered yet and I just hope that some of you could help me with this issue.

Greetings,

Jones

PS: Sorry, if my english is not perfect, I am not a native speaker as you can see ^^.

EDIT: It does not seem to have anything to do with the render settings, since I get the same issue, when I try to render as mpeg-2

Here at Signature PC did three renderings.
1 - Profile 1920x1080p (28 Mbps) HVE - on
2 - Profile 1920x1080p (28 Mbps) HVE - off
3 - Profile 1920x1080p (12 Mbps) HVE - on
No apparent problem.

Hi HanYolo -

NVIDIA GPU here & no issues. No distorion at all.

Imported your "Test" clip & produced to ACV H.264 MP4 1920x1080 59.94fps 13MBps - which is fairly close to your original clip. Also produced to AVC H.264 M2TS 1920x1080 59.94fps 24MBps (close to the profile you used) - with no issues. Side by side MediaInfo reports attached.

No SVRT profile was available.

Interesting that you're using the trial version which has only limited support for H.264. Maybe your PC meets the requirements.

Cheers - Tony

Hey Tony,

thank you for your answer!

I could not even find the settings you are using. If I choose mp4, there are only 24p and 30p settings available, maybe because of the Demoversion. I tried to create an own profile, where I took 59.94fps, but I still get the weird picture distortion frown.

The Cyberlink support was answering today and I gave them all my data, I hope there is a way to fix this, because I would realy prefer Powerdirector over the other Software I was trying.

Hi Jones -

No - they're not standard profiles. Just as you did, I customised the profiles to match requirements. Attached screenshot.

With your GTX970, was any hardware acceleration (Hardware Video Encoder) available? It isn't on my GTX260 embarassed PC, but it is on the GTX680 one. Still - no issues here when using HA.

Have you tried producing without HVE checked?

Cheers - Tony

Hey,

I tried to set the settings to the same as in you screenshot and disabled the hardware-encoding option, but I still get the distorted picture after the rendering. So this should be no problem with my GPU, am I right?
