I am using a couple of layers of video in thsi clip, and the one on top is smaller on the scren that the one on the botom, creating a "picture in picture" effect.

I want the picture on top, the smaller one, to fade out with a transition, so I selected "blur" and dropped it on the end of that clip in the timelling. It would up blurin the whole ecreen out.

How can I make the transition work on just that one clip, and not the other one on the screen? Zorikh

Drag the FADE transition to the beginning and to end of the video clip.

Blurr transition does not work properly in pip. Highlight the pip clip, hit modify, and enable the fade in and fade out. That is what you want.

Hi Zorikh -

Most of the transitions will work fine with the clip as PiP. You just picked one (Blur) that affects the background clip as well.

For the same reason, these are the others NOT to use in that scenario...

Airplane, Break Apart 2/3, Chain Reaction, Color Circle/Love Heart/Star, Film Strip, Flip Blinds/Boxes/Matrix, Glass 1/2/3, Glow, Grid, Mosaic, Papaer 1/2, Paper Airplane 1/2, Rotate CW, Slide Spin Horizontal, Spiral, X-ray... and Blur!

Cheers - Tony

Tanks! "Fade" was what I was looking for, I just couldn't find it. I found it now, and all is right with the world!

Thanks for the tips about the oddball transitions. I had no idea that was a "thing."

Would anyone know if there is a "dither dissolve" in PD13? It was one of my favorite transitions in Adobe Premiere. Zorikh

I'm familiar with the Dither Dissolve transition. PDR has a transition called "Dissolve" that might do the job.

In trying to replicate it, I came up with a few options (a couple of which are OK). They're on DiretorZone. See if any of these satisfy your longing laughing

On DZ, if you do a search for "Dithery" you'll find my other feeble attempts.

Cheers - Tony
